2012 Science Fiction Reader Challenge

This is a challenge I MUST participate as I am trying to diversify my sci-fi reads. I’m slightly late to participate but amongst 15 books I have read in 2012, only one of them (Journey to the Center of the World / Jules Verne) is sci-fi (I have read more fantasy books in the first quarter of the year but I’ll go along with sci-fi). I also reviewed my one and only sci-fi read of this year as the challenge requires.
The challenge is run by Working for the Mandroid. The rules are mostly similar to all those challenges out there BUT you have to post a review for the books to be counted for the challenge.

Here are the categories defined and what I plan to read:
1. YA/MG Science Fiction: Have Spacesuit-Will Travel by Robert Heinlein
2. Adult Science Fiction: A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr.
3. Hugo Winner: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
4. Science Fiction Classic - Pre-1950s: Journey to the Center of the World by Jules Verne
5. Science Fiction Modern Classic - 1951-1992: A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
6. Steampunk: Frankenstein by Mary Sheilly
7. Robots/Cyborgs/Androids: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick
8. Spaceships / Aliens: Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
9. Time Travel/Alternate History/Parallel Universe: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide, #1) by Douglas Adams
10. Apocalyptic/Dystopia/Utopia: The Swarm by Frank Schätzing
11. Cyberpunk: Neuromancer by William Gibson
12: Mad Scientists/Genetic Testing/Environmental Disaster: Oryx and Crake (MaddAddam Trilogy, #1) by Margaret Atwood

Honestly speaking, this is MY FAVOURITE CHALLENGE OF 2012!!! Thanks a lot Leslie!
