It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

"It's Monday! What Are You Reading?" is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. For this meme, we list the books we finished last week and the books we are currently reading.

I have seen several bloggers participate in this meme and I decided to join in long ago. For one reason or another, I never managed to participate. Well, I have time and things to tell this week so here I am:

Last week I finished two books:

The first one is The Swarm by Frank Schätzing. Honestly, it took me ages to finish it and it was a big disappointment for me at the end (I had great expectations at the beginning). Here is the link to my review.

My second book was, thanks to God, a great book. A book thousands read last year but I read it this year: Divergent by Veronica Roth. I again had great expectations for this book but I wasn't wrong twice. It was a great YA dystopian novel, which I hope to review this week.

This week I'm reading "The Prague Cemetery" by Umberto Eco. I bought this book to join an online bookclub but I didn't manage to read it on time. Then, I started reading it. I guess, it was around mid-April. Then, we had to depart for our spring vacation in Spain and I didn't want to carry the book with me all the way from Ankara to Barcelona. So, I went on holiday with my kindle and left this book all alone on our bed. Then, The Swarm and Divergent (both e-books) came in the way. My quiet book waited for me for days and days. Now, I'm finally reading it and liked reading it as the events take place in my favourite Italian region, Piemonte. There are also really nice pictures throughout the book. It is my first Umberto Eco read!

  1. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed Divergent. It is still on my TBR mountain. I hope to get to it sometime this summer. Here is my Monday Report. Happy reading!
