November Novella Challenge

Lately, I managed to spare more time to blogging so I can follow up the challenges coming up on time. Last year's participants were happy so I decided to give it a try.
The November Novella Challenge is hosted by J.T. Oldfield at Bibliofreak. The idea is to read novellas during the month of November when it is cold and rainy outside (at least that is how the weather will be in Ankara, Turkey). There are four levels and I'll try Level II, meaning reading 4 novellas in a month. It nearly matches with the book list I had made when joining Callapidder Days' "Fall into Reading".
Google says novellas are not longer then 145-150 pages but Turkish translations of all foriegn books are always longer so I raised the page bar to 180-200 for myself.
Here are the books I intend to read during November:
I. The Catcher in the Rye / J.D. Salinger (Finished reading on November 4, 2010)
II. Animal Farm / George Orwell (Finished reading on November 29, 2010)
III. La Tulipe Noire (The Black Tulip) / Alexandre Dumas (Finished reading on November 13, 2010)
IV. La Boutique del Mistero / Dino Buzzati
I'll be reading the Turkish translations of the first three books, the original Italian version of the last book (such a challenge for me) and I'll be reviewing them in English: Such a multi-lingual month November will be :)

  1. Thanks for joining the challenge!

on another note: I've not been to Ankara, but I have been to Istanbul (we just didn't manage to make it out of the city during the week I was there--too much to do in Istanbul!) and I loved it!
